Same goes for Real Player G2. When it does that, can't you do a Ctrl+Alt+Del and wait for the Task Manager to come up to see if anything is 'Not Responding'? I didn't like either one so I wrote my own shell around Windows Media Player. The problems you are having are not from downloading WMP 11 since it has been on her PC since Vista was installed. If none are listed then open windows media player check to see if you have media player 11 if not then click on the up date feature in media player on help and it will ask you if When I look at the task manager it show 2 Media players running or both of them not responding.
